My name is Luisa Mitchell Shaw. I am a creative writer and producer based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia.
I was born in Broome and lived there until I was 18 years old. I am of Nyungar, Irish and English heritage.
I delve into both the fantastical and the very real through writing and art. I have a Bachelor of Screen Arts and International Relations (2021) from Curtin University and have several short stories published in print and online. I am interested in empowering young people through creative projects, as well as promoting self-determination through storytelling for other First Nations Australians.
I currently work part-time as a Program Coordinator and Producer for the oral storytelling programs and events at Centre for Stories.
My passion is creating and storytelling - let’s work together on your next idea.
